It appeared that Grayson would finally be back on the field this upcoming Monday against Rockdale County—however—Rockdale County is still under virtual learning and a decision was made to forfeit that matchup. To compound the hiatus, Grayson is now on Fall break and was already set for a Week 10 bye week. As a result, the Rams’ next game will be played on Friday, Oct. 25 at South Gwinnett. That means a full five weeks will have passed between their 63-0 win over Grovetown on Sept. 20 and their Oct. 25 matchup against South Gwinnett. After the South Gwinnett game, Grayson will host Archer on Thursday, Oct. 31 and then will have a rare Tuesday night matchup against Heritage-Conyers on Nov. 5. The final matchup will be Saturday, Nov. 9 at Newton.
Head coach Santavious Bryant joined the Georgia High School Sports Daily on Friday to talk about his team’s approach to this long hiatus and said it was an opportunity for his players to focus on their school work and work off the field so they are completely ready to focus and regain their momentum when kickoff finally returns.
